Happy African Milk Tree Guide

  • Prefers bright light. Direct sunlight is ok but take care to ensure this does not scorch the plant i.e. midday sun on the windowsill
  • Rotate them every so often to stop them leaning to the light.
  • Allow the soil to dry out before watering. It is drought tolerant for short periods.
  • Prefers it reasonably warm, ideally from 15-27°C. Keep out of draughts.
  • Apply a half-strength dose of liquid fertiliser in the summer
  • Indoor height 1-2m but very slow-growing.
  • To help them breathe, use a small brush to gently remove the dust from them.
  • The sap is poisonous and an irritant. Avoid getting into your eyes or mouth and handle with care. Wash off immediately if in contact with skin. Not suitable for children or pets
